This page is just a quick scribbling pad to chart

the development of the website itself -

counting back from the most recent.

 

Last changes: 14th May 2008 

 

  • The download MS Word files for the Hey, Mr Big !/Valhalla Triangle flyers and thank-you bookmarks (at the bottom of the buying the book page) have been updated to show the latest price of the book and just to keep up with a little better with MS Office progress (the files are both now Office 2003 versions)
  • The Mr Big website has been transferred to the a upgraded system by the web providers. 15/2/08 I have temporarily rescued the old sidebar rainbow graphic, which somehow seemed to have got lost (but it still needs further adaption to match the new vertically-extending page arrangements). I have removed some of the redundant HTML for italics in, for example, titles of news items (title italics don't appear to be available under the new system). I have also taken the opportunity to update and revise the details for buying copies of Hey, Mr Big!, including adding a link to selling now on Amazon marketplace as well as e-Bay. Finally, I have added an item on the news page alerting visitors to the upgrading process, just in case there are any remaining potholes that I have not yet located. All advice gratefully received!
  • Checked and updated all entries on the Website Links button. Added new Awards & Competitions section to bring together links to outside recognition for items related to <i>Hey, Mr Big!</i> and The Jamie Fund
  • Home Page updated to include a link to the new The Valhalla Triangle page. Hey, Mr Big! and Valhalla Triangle pages both now also have an updated document download for a combined, double-sided publicity flyer
  • A exciting new way to buy and pay for Hey, Mr Big! safely and securely on-line from anywhere in the world using e-Bay/PayPal
  • Further expansion of the list of local outlets with books on the shelf, for Skye, Ross & Cromarty, The North West, Moray and Aberdeenshire.
  • Expansion of the list of local outlets with books on the shelf, to include Perthshire, Lochaber, Inverness, Loch Ness, etc.
  • Changes to the details for buying Hey, Mr Big! in the North of Scotland, with the establishment of a list of local outlets which now have the book on the shelf for sale. A few further tweaks on the buying Hey, Mr Big! page.
  • Reversed the order of this work in progress page to show the most recent changes first.
  • Simplified some of the buying Hey, Mr Big! details, in preparation for a reorganisation of the arrangements for buying the book in the North of Scotland.
  • The first list of places to order/buy Hey, Mr Big! in and around Carr-Bridge - a new link on the buying from the Mr Big page. More names to be added as we build up the choices.
     
  • A sheet of Mr Big flyers on the book buying page - ready to print.
  • A sheet of Mr Big bookmarks to download on the Kids page and on the buying the book page - all ready to print as a Word document.
  • New pages with details for advanced ordering copies of Hey, Mr Big!
  • A "flash page" featuring the front-back cover spread for Hey, Mr Big!
  • Some developments on the Media & reviews page, with new reviews and pointers to forthcoming articles.
  • The kidz pages, accessed by clicking Jamie's picture on the Home page. These now offer a wide range of interesting and fun links to browse
  • plus a peek into what Jamie and his friends had to say.
  • A Help page, accessed from the tartan icon on the Home page.
  • The "What's in the book?" link on the Hey, Mr Big!  page: now leading to a selection of pages with extracts and pictures from the book.
