22 Oct 2005 - E-Bay offers a new, on-line option for buying Hey, Mr Big!
As a first trial, a copy of Hey, Mr Big! is now posted for auction on e-Bay. The hope is that this will provide a convenient and secure purchase route for those who cannot manage to order the book by post, or to buy from one of the outlets supplied by The Mr Big Group.
Even after taking into account the fees payable to e-Bay and PayPal, it is estimated that a copy of Hey, Mr Big! purchased by this route will raise some 6-7 times more for The Jamie Fund than if it had been ordered through a bookshop or on-line retailer using normal, commercial distribution channels.
This new option is expected to be particularly useful for buyers outside the UK who will be able to make a straightforward payment in their own currency using the safey and security of PayPal.
