The list of amendments and corrections for Hey, Mr Big! has completed its journey across the Atlantic by e-mail today, together with the final tweakings for those all-important cover designs - now with a most-welcome, last minute addition.
Following on from his speedy review of the proofs, Alexander McCall Smith has generously given his permission for an extract from what he wrote to be featured on the cover of Hey, Mr Big!, along with the full text as an opening, "epigraph" page inside. This means that Hey, Mr Big! can now boast kind endorsements both front and back. The kind of thing to make Jamie beam with pride:
