I was directed to the 'MR Big' Site through the Tricky Ricky site, I very saddened to read about Jamie's accident, he was a young lad who lived his life to the full and by the sounds of things a credit to his family. I wish you and your family kind wishes and thoughts.

I was directed here by Jamie's Dad whom I have only met through an eBay auction for an interesting book I bid on and won. It seems to me that if Jamie and I meet up in Valhala or wherever us heros go, we'd both have some common interests to discuss and argue over... both being practical types and rather no-nonsense . Of course this doesn't preclude a sense of humour ! I have an old friend just north of you, in Tommich, the other side of Loch Ness, so might get to visit one day... which would be rather nice. Fair ye well and may fortune smile upon you, Alex.

What a brave and beautiful website, the answer to the question, how can something so small, be so big? is a little less of a puzzle. Thank you for sharing your inner most thoughts, truly inspirational. Good luck with the book and much peace and happiness

I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful boy. My heart goes out to you and I think it's truly honorable that you have written a book that is such a tribute to your Jamie. I wish I could have known him. My son Keegan was 4 when he died in 2001. I do feel the pain of a loss of someone so young.

Hi i didn't know Jamie and thats my loss. We lost our grandson Brian Michael much too soon at 26. I'm so sorry you lost Jamie. The Angels in heaven must be so happy so many precious young people coming to heaven . We know that they are in the hands of God. Brian Michael's Granny Smith

jamie was a very polite person as i knew him from the inverness scout gang show. When i hered about this site i went straight on to it.I think that having a jamie fund is a really good idea as Jamie was allways talking about other people and he was going to help them when he grew up.i really miss Jamie and i wish he was in the gang show with me today.

I was quite oblivious of everything as I read the book. The warmth and the love comes across so clearly . Knowing Jamie, he would have been so proud to be the Mr Big in the story. "Is that really about me?" [Carr-Bridge Music Club, etc]

I was lucky enough to know Jamie for a short while, and I will always remember his lovely smile. This story is a great tribute to him and well done for overcoming the obstacles and getting it printed. I for one will certainly buy it. [Aviemore Library]

I came across this site from the link on www.scouts.org.uk I remember reading about the accident at the time, but it is only after visiting this site dedicated to Jamie that I see that there is a young person behind the news. I am hugely impressed by the impact that a person so young has had on others and I am honoured that he was a member of my family - Scouting.

My mum and I were very touched looking at this website. I didn't know Jamie very well but i was in the 2003 Inverness Gang Show with him. Rehearsals have already started for the next show and i'll make sure everybody knows about this site as I am sure they would like to know about it. It feels strange to know that one of the gang from the best show ever has already left us, before his time.

This is a lovely web-site and a truly moving memorial to Jamie. I look forward to reading the book. I shall recommend this site to my undergraduate students who are studying the ways people make sense of their losses. Jamie obviously touched the lives of so many people and it's great to know that his influence will live on, affecting not only those that knew him, but, through the book and this site, inspiring and helping others all over the world.

Pleased to see the book making progress despite the long waits at times. Hope to meet up with the crowd when we come for a week this coming Wednesday.
